On well-developed and excellently signposted cycle paths through moorland, forest and meadows around the Große Aue and Weser, you will experience pure relaxation. The extensive gastronomic offerings provide you with refreshment and refreshment on all stages.

The starting and finishing point is the market square in Steyerberg. Right at the start, you pass the historic center of Steyerberg with Jacobiinsel, Auebrücke, Amtshof and Meyersiek'scher Mahl- und Sägemühle. Passing the ecological model settlement "Lebensgarten", you reach an extensive wooded area, the Januarsberg. The viewpoint there is worth a short detour.

The tour continues from Januarsberg to Hesterberg, a branch-off in the forest leads to the war graves memorial. Behind Hesterberg, the "Fichtendamm" leads you through the "Große Borsteler Moor" with information on peat extraction and renaturation. Numerous oil pumps line the route, as oil has been extracted and processed in the Voigtei district since 1953. The tour leads back to Steyerberg via Eckershausen and Sarninghausen.
