Steyerberg invites you to enjoy a relaxing cycle tour for the whole family.

On well-maintained and signposted bike paths through moorland, forests, and meadows around Große Aue and the Weser River, you’ll enjoy a variety of sights and views. The restaurants and cafes along the route offer plenty of places to stop for a break.

The starting and ending point is the market square in Steyerberg. At the start, you’ll pass through the historic town center, taking in Jacobi Island, the Aue Bridge, the Amtshof, and Meyersiek’s mill and sawmill. Passing the residential area known as “Lebensgarten,” you’ll reach the Januarsberg forest. The viewpoint there offers a sweeping view of the surrounding area.

The route continues into the Eichenkratt nature reserve with its distinctive tree formations. From Deblinghausen, you’ll travel via the Große Aue to Düdinghausen and Sarninghausen. On the way back, we recommend the climb up the Hexentreppe to the Knappsberg viewpoint.

You can also find the “Village & Nature” tour on Komoot.
