These are unmarked, leisurely tours that lead through our beautiful, varied landscape. Of course, if you want to discover something in nature, you have to venture out into it. And so many of the trails are also close to nature: there may be the odd mullerian spot. Or a tractor has just driven past. After all, you share these paths with our farmers, foresters and horse riders.
But if you take the path - sorry, the six paths - you will discover many beautiful things. What are you waiting for? By the way, you can easily reach five of the six paths with the Regio S-Bahn.
Tour 1:
Start at Etelsen station, turn right on the northern side of the train and turn left into Berkelsstraße. And then on the right-hand side, surprise: "Kunst am Weg"! Continue to Giersberg, and if you take a short detour to the right after the highway, you will come to the Giersberg redoubt, a testimony to former fortifications. The route continues to Steinberg, where you turn left at the last house. The admittedly very natural path takes you through the middle of the Etelser Moor, which is a truly special sight in its unspoiled state. And almost abruptly, you pass through a sparse high forest over the highway and under the railroad to Etelsen.
Here, of course, the "Jan Wind" mill is a must-see! The route continues: Castle and castle park (please push your bikes here), a little further on the lock canal with the lock. You reach Alt - Cluvenhagen, where the houses are built on mounds so that they are not damaged by the Weser floods. At the end of the Ellernbuschdamm is a lake created by sand mining, which is popular for swimming in summer. Take a short detour to the right on our marked hiking trail "Zwischen Schloss und Burg": the steep bank on the "Alte Aller" is a very special scenic treasure.
Back again, please meander past the farm on the right, take Wilkensstrasse up to Cluvenhagen. Behind the "Stiftung Waldheim", take the forest road downhill, then turn left, a short distance along the railroad, and you will soon be back in Etelsen.
The Langwedel Treasure Hunt Tour 1 can also be found at Komoot.
