Ride the main route from Nienburg on the eastern side of the Weser to the south. Through the Nienburger Bruch to Leeseringen and on to Estorf (beautiful half-timbered church). There is a barn for cyclists (group accommodation) in the historic "Schünebusch" barn quarter.
The main route leads past the Landesbergen barrage, along the lock canal into the town center of Landesbergen with the wedding mill and the historic Spieker.
Cross the Weser bridge to the western side of the Weser. Here, the alternative route leads north via Liebenau with its beautiful town center, St. Laurentius Church and the watermill on the Große Aue. Past the Liebenau pits (former gravel lakes) with a birdwatching tower, you reach Nienburg/Weser.
