Barrage with sluice, weir, power station and fish ladder.

The Weser is dammed up here. Ships can overcome the difference in height through the lock. It is one of six barrages on the Middle Weser that regulate the water flow.

The Landesbergen barrage is a barrage on the Middle Weser at waterway kilometer 252 northwest of the village of Landesbergen. It was built in the 1950s and consists of a lock, a fish ladder and a weir with a hydroelectric power station. The weir was built between 1958 and 1960 and consists of two fields, each 40 m wide. In November 1960, it was the last of the 7 Mittelweser barrages to go into operation. The weir is passable for canoes via a boat lane/boat slide (be careful!). A boat trolley is also available.
