The joint municipality of Grafschaft Hoya is an Eldorado for cyclists.
Original village structures with old half-timbered houses alternate with extensive wooded areas, idyllic stream valleys, old pools, lakes and lots of open countryside.

In the place where the Counts of Hoya once ruled, today the signposted "Counts' Ring" leads interested cyclists along a 75 km circular cycle route past the Counts' Castle, the collegiate church in Bücken, the geographical center of Lower Saxony, windmills and watermills and other special features. With four different connecting routes, the route can be cycled flexibly.

Using the map template, you can cycle the Grafen-Ring from any location. Simply follow the signs with the red Grafen-Ring symbol. The differently colored symbols of the Ring of Counts in dark blue, green, yellow and light blue indicate the individual connecting routes and offer a wide variety of possible combinations. They refer to historical events and old local legends.

Find out what the dwarves were up to in the count's castle, how a poltergeist haunted the vicarage in Hoyerhagen and how a donkey determined where the Bücker collegiate church should be located.

You can also find the Grafen-Ring at Komoot.

We wish you as much tailwind as possible and lots of fun on your tours.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

In the Schweringen/Gandesbergen area, the path leads across the Weser. There, a high-rope ferry powered by an electric motor (mains connection) takes you to the other bank.
