The Sculpture Trail introduces works of art to the landscape of the municipality of Warpe.
We’ve all seen them: museums housed in historic buildings, filled with valuable works of art. A sculpture trail, on the other hand, brings art directly into nature—freely accessible, at any time, and for people of all ages. What makes it especially wonderful is that the Warpe Sculpture Trail isn’t just a cultural experience; it’s also ideal for families with children.

Here, art, exercise, and the landscape come together in a relaxed way—in summer and winter, alone, with friends, or with the whole family.
The signposted loop trail is just under 16 kilometers long and winds through the town of Warpe. It can be explored on foot, by bike, or even by car. There is no fixed starting or ending point—you can join the trail anywhere. Information boards along the route provide background on the individual artworks.

Eight very different sculptures line the path—ranging from granite and steel to colorful works and an impressive three-ton colossus. The artworks are meant to be discovered, viewed, and experienced—there’s plenty for children to marvel at here, too. The varied route with its individual stops is easy to manage and offers plenty of opportunities for short breaks.
A special highlight for families is the Bünkemühle Farm, which is also home to a sculpture. Here you can stop by the café for a drink or a bite to eat and enjoy some farm-fresh ice cream. For children, the farm offers a playground, several pedal tractors, and the chance to observe cows and calves up close.

Those who want to extend their bike tour can also plan a family-friendly route along the Weser Bike Path: From Centralplatz in Hoya, the roughly 20-kilometer-long, signposted route leads via Wienbergen to the Weser weir and on via Dörverden and Barme back to Centralplatz. If you like, you can make a detour to the Wolf Center along the way.

Along and off the trails, there are numerous other places to stop and explore. The map in the free brochure lists additional points of interest.
The project was made possible by financial support from the Weser-Hunte Regional Association and the Office for Regional Development in Sulingen.

You can also find the Sculpture Trail on Komoot.
