The observatory facility is located on the edge of the sports field on the grounds of the Oberschule am Goldbach.
It consists of a 3-metre and a 4-metre dome (motorized). The 3-meter dome is equipped with a 16-inch Ritchey Chrétien telescope (1:8) and the 4-meter dome with a 16-inch Newtonian (1:5), a home-made telescope with optics originally from ASM from Canada and now with optics from the company Astro-Reflect from Bulgaria and an 8-inch Newtonian (1:5) from Wachter with optics from Lichtenknecker and a guiding refractor 80x910mm from Vixen.
