Later, the sexton and his family lived in the house. In 1991, the former sexton's house was dismantled and rebuilt in the original half-timbered style. Today it is part of the Steimbek town hall. Civil weddings are also possible here. The Steimbke registry office offers future couples the opportunity to bring many guests to their civil wedding ceremony due to the spacious wedding room (Steimbke registry office, tel. 05026-98080).
