Discover part of the Weser Cycle Path as a circular route on the main and alternative route. The Weser bridge in Stolzenau will be rebuilt in the next few years, but should remain open for cyclists.
Sights: Landesbergen Wedding Mill and Spieker, Schinna Monastery, Stolzenau town center with St. Jacob's Church, town hall and local history museum, historic drawing fountain and Leese church
Start at Mühlenplatz in Landesbergen with the wedding mill and historic Spieker. Cross the Weser bridge to the left/west side of the Weser and continue in a southerly direction. North of Stolzenau town center, the Weser Cycle Path passes the site of the former Benedictine monastery of Schinna (one of the oldest Protestant half-timbered churches in Germany).
You reach Stolzenau with its pretty town center and St. Jacob's Church with its twisted spire. The tourist information office is housed in the historic railroad station. Cross the Weser bridge to the right/eastern side of the Weser to Leese. The church and the historic draw well are worth seeing here. Head north via Heidhausen back to your starting point in Landesbergen.
The cycle path between Leese and Landesbergen is not signposted as an alternative route to the Weser cycle path.
