Schlossweg (Tour 5)

The village of Bruchhausen-Vilsen has around 40 km of marked hiking trails. The combination of different paths creates circular routes of various lengths (Tour 1-Tour 7). It goes through gentle hills, fields, lush meadows past streams and through unspoiled nature around Bruchhausen-Vilsen.

The diversity of nature and the charms of the seasons make these trails tours of discovery. Refreshment stops, places of interest and special features are included in the respective tour descriptions. The routes are easy to recognize thanks to the signposting and generally lead along well-maintained paths.

Tour 5 Schlossweg from the i-Punkt/TourismusService at the train station via Bruchhausen and Stapelhorn to Gehlbergen (7 km, marked: castle/castle):

Special features: Small railroad museum, market square, castle, main melioration canal

Start at Bruchhausen-Vilsen station. From there, the route takes you past the small railroad museum, the water playground and the motorhome parking area via the large market square to Bruchhausen castle. The scenic route continues along the main canal of the melioration, once the largest irrigation and drainage system in Europe, via Stapelshorn to Gehlbergen. You can return via tour 3 Wöpser Kirchweg (marker: church).
