- Start: "Am Meyerkamp" in Riede
- Destination: "Am Meyerkamp" in Riede
We take the paved path into the grove in the direction of Hof Rumpsfeld, then turn left at the first opportunity and follow the path along the edge of the grove. We pass the natural gas station and walk on until we reach a small residential street called "Holzweg". We turn left into "Rumpsfelder Heide" and leave two residential streets on the left.
Finally, we reach "Zur großen Riede", follow this street and arrive at the starting point. It's amazing that the small wood (privately owned) near the Rumpsfeld farm has survived in the middle of Weyhe. Incidentally, the former American Secretary of State "Donald Rumsfeld" is related to this family. It is also interesting that the path leads across the grounds of a remaining farm. We also encounter Weyhe's natural resources once again: We pass two natural gas stations. The route can be extended by initially following the footpath and cycle path towards the town hall. At the first opportunity, turn left onto the connecting path to "Rumpsfelder Heide".
The tour can also be found at Komoot.
