Spirallabyrinth

Sculpture
Monument
The spiral labyrinth was inaugurated on July 2, 2011 to mark the centenary of International Women's Day.
The idea came from the equal opportunities officer of the city of Verden (Aller) at the time. She wanted to create something lasting - something for body and soul, a special way of imparting knowledge and expanding awareness.

The stelae were designed by women from Verden. They commemorate female personalities who have shaped the history of Verden. One of them was Dr. Anita Augspurg, whose name the first women's place in Lower Saxony bears. The square with several benches invites you to linger.
