The tour leads along the Geestrücken ridge through small idyllic farming villages and over gently undulating woodland, moorland and heathland around the village of Kirchlinteln. South of the Verden Heath, you will come across the Aller and Allermarsch with fertile fields and pastureland. Along the way, you will experience the equestrian town of Verden with over 1000 years of history, as well as largely untouched nature. Sights such as the cathedral, historical churches, the German Horse Museum, the Historical Museum Domherrenhaus, Sachsenhain, Verden dunes, burial mounds, heathland, the Eitzer watermill and much more can be found along the way.
In Kirchlinteln, the Schmömühle gallery windmill, the miller's house, St. Petri's Church, the Lintler Lintler Museum and the Lintler Museum are all worth a visit. Petri church, the Lintler Krug, the Verden moor, the nature reserve "Hügelgräber-Heide", the juniper heath and the nature reserve "Hühnermoor" are worth seeing.
In Lehringen, the skeleton of a forest elephant over 100,000 years old was found in 1948. The ribs still contained a spear made of yew wood. It is one of the oldest spears ever found. The "Lance of Lehringen" is on display in the Domherrenhaus Historical Museum in Verden.
