Artist: Elgard Schmidt
In 1987, this sculpture was awarded the Achim Art Prize. Before the sculpture found its place in Achim Town Hall, it stood in the children's book section of the town library, among other places. However, it was decided that the sculpture with this name would fit better in front of the meeting room of Achim Town Hall. The artist was inspired to create this work of art by her daughter and her boyfriend, who were standing in front of the house for a long time in the evening. As a mother, she gave it some thought and came to the conclusion as to whether a relationship that is too "close" and leaves little room for the partner can lead to tension and friction, creating grating relationships.
