Four steles made of hot-dip galvanized and powder-coated steel with a height of around six metres are located in the entrance area of the pedestrian zone and provide a reference to the town of Achim. One of the four geometric shapes of the Achim logo made of folded sheet metal is enthroned on each of the four pillars. The logo stands for the modern appearance and quality of life in the town of Achim. The four basic geometric shapes of the logo indicate the equal value of the areas of living (green circle), work (blue wave), leisure (red triangle) and culture (yellow rectangle). The steles were designed as part of a larger unrealized project by GME, Architekten-Gruppe from Achim, and were erected in October 2013 following the demolition of a building.
