Lange Straße

Lange Straße runs from the "Filmeck junction" via the former Nordertor gate to the Spargelbrunnen fountain. The street is remarkably wide for an old town the size of Nienburg and served both as a boulevard for parades and marches (annual marching out of the civic companies) and to offer protection to fleeing farmers and farmers and to be able to pick them up quickly with their wagons.
