Historical structure
The fire station tower has been Rehburg's landmark since the turn of the century.
It was built in 1908 according to the plans of Wilhelm Meßwarb, who was also mayor of Rehburg from 1878-1912. The fire tower was used to dry the hoses. It is one of Meßwarb's typical buildings. The architect mainly used sandstone, brick and wood - as was the case with the fire station tower. A fire station was later added to the tower, which burned down in 1969.

Messwarb style
Wilhelm and Ernst Messwarb, architects and mayors of the municipality of Rehburg from 1878 to 1938, designed an architectural style that characterizes the townscape: clock and fire station tower, municipal building school/town hall, fountain, local history museum, police station and other private buildings, including the design for the villa.including the design for the villa of the writer Ernst Jünger (In Stahlgewittern and others), who is an honorary citizen of the town of Rehburg Loccum.
