Arboretum Baumpark Thedinghausen
Right next to Erbhof Thedinghausen Castle, the former manor house of the Weser Renaissance, lies a magnificent arboretum with an impressive collection of rare tree species from Central Europe.
Spanning an area of 11 hectares, the park is home to over 71 tree genera comprising approximately 450 species and varieties, including ginkgo trees and the prehistoric sequoia. The tree park’s appearance changes with the four seasons—sometimes blossoms emerge, sometimes tender greenery sprouts, and sometimes the leaves turn vibrant colors. The arboretum, which features walking trails and an insect hotel, also has a children’s playground with a bocce court and offers picnic areas.
