Snedensteine Hülsen

Archaeological site
"Snede" is an old word for border
Near the fire station in Hülsen are two Sneden stones from 1575 with inscriptions and coats of arms. The Snedensteine (popularly known as "Schwedensteine", in misunderstanding their original meaning) bear witness to the historical past in the Diensthoper Forst near Westen and in Hülsen.

These two stones mark the border established in 1575 between the Bishopric of Verden, the County of Hoya and the Duchy of Lauenburg.
