Skulptur "Ross Bayard"

Sculpture
Michael Peelmann, 1987, plastic
The two-metre-high sculpture - a gift from the city of Dendermonde in Belgium - recalls the story of Haimon (Aimon) and his four sons, who fled to safety on the back of the "miracle horse" after their father was captured by Charlemagne's troops. The 4.85 meter high and over 5 meter long original stands in Dendermonde and is the landmark of Nienburg's twin town.
