The town hall square with its existing ensemble of buildings consisting of the town hall, packing house, barn and octagonal pigeon tower has a long history. The packing house was built in 1796 and today's town hall, which was a large residential building at the time, was built in 1811. The so-called "Poggenburg" (= toad castle) was acquired by the joint municipality of Thedinghausen in 1973 and converted into the town hall. The modern and barrier-free town hall also houses a wedding room, which offers a stylish ambience for your civil ceremony. Afterwards, you can toast your future together with up to 12 relatives.
There are public toilets in the town hall building. The town hall square is ideal for a break, as you can find out about the entire Mittelweser region at the digital info point and use the e-bike charging lockers.
