This local recreation area between the Weser and the dyke was created by gravel extraction and is connected to the Weser by a culvert. Several water sports clubs and one of the most beautiful and largest marinas on the Middle Weser are located in this area, which is protected from the current and tidal range. A stop at the floating restaurant "Smokey Island" is possible on request.
