The landscaped lake in Uchte, which was completed in 1999, is a popular excursion destination in the joint municipality of Uchte. The toboggan hill and a 3-kilometre network of paths around the lake area invite cyclists, joggers, Nordic walkers and walkers to linger and relax. From an observation hill, those interested have the opportunity to enjoy the bird life in the lake area. When the weather is nice and clear, you can see the entire surrounding area as far as the Wiehengebirge mountains from the tobogganing hill. In snowy winters, the tobogganing hill becomes a meeting point for enthusiastic sledgers.
