The Uchter Mühlenbach broadens here into a mill pond, where the Stolzenau watermill stood until a few decades ago, before it flows into the Weser.
The Sedan Bridge commemorates the Battle of Sedan on September 1 and 2, 1870 during the Franco-Prussian War. Next to the bridge, historical fragments of the former Stolzenau Castle are embedded in the wall and are well worth seeing.
