Other architecture, infrastructure, culture destinations
The "Hexentreppe" used to be a church path that led from the church to the "upper" farmers' quarter.
An old thatched Lower Saxon farmhouse used to stand at the foot of the steps. Anyone walking past this house in those days was often greeted by a long drawn-out "Iaaa! Iaa!". This cry came from the donkey, which is said to be descended from the donkey of the Bremen Town Musicians.
