In 2003, a group of regional artists opened a producers' gallery called GalerieN in Nienburg's city center.
Institutionally, the gallery is located under the umbrella of the Kulturwerk. The rooms at Leinstraße 26 provide a permanent home for a regular, professional exhibition business with changing exhibitions.
The content of the work is constantly being developed. The annual program now includes a citizens' exhibition, a joint exhibition project in GalerieN and Kulturwerk, 3-4 third-party exhibitions and just as many group exhibitions from the artists' ranks. The commitment is supported by the Neuhoff-Fricke Foundation for Science and Art in Nienburg and by the generous support of the house owners.
