Water mill
The mill in Verden/Eitze was first mentioned in a document in 1220. This makes it one of the first mills in the district of Verden;
The watermill is located in the scenic Gohbach valley. In the past, it was probably driven by an overshot water wheel.

The five-storey brick mill building dates back to 1863. The mill technology with a modern turbine system is still in place. Several grinding and milling gears were driven.

In 1903, the large turbine was replaced and this in turn was replaced by a new Francis turbine in the 1930s. The turbine is still used today to drive the elevator and a shot gallery. Various extensions, annexes, silos and a mill weir complete the mill ensemble. The mill was shut down on June 30, 1968.
