The monks of Loccum Monastery changed the landscape in today's monastery forest in particular with their work.
Discover mysterious ditches, canals, enchanted ponds and clear streams on the Little Monastery Landscape Trail. Read about the monastery's attempts to create a large landscape park in the 18th century. Find out how the monks supplied the monastery buildings with water. And see how the monastery still manages the forest today.

The Little Monastery Landscape Trail is 7.2 km long. It can be shortened to 5.4 km.
