Sandlore

The Lichtenmoor was cultivated and settled under the Neustadt district administrator von Woyna. Between 1919 and 1926, the settlers of the time used tipper wagons to remove sand hills in order to fill in hollows and holes so that arable and pasture land could be created. The wagons were moved on rails using only muscle power.
