Historical building
School
The building was constructed by building councillor Bruno Emanuel Quaet-Faslem.
In 1853, the first state building trade school for architecture and civil engineering in northern Germany began teaching here. Around 700 students originally studied here. As part of the Lower Saxony state government's university optimization concept (HOK), the university's Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering (AB) was closed. Today, several hundred police candidates study at the police academy.
