Nature experience trail/educational trail
The nature trail deals with the effects of gravel mining in the Stolzenau area.
The 2.2 km long path, which winds its way through the Wesermarsch in southern Stolzenau, is signposted with information boards. But how does gravel extraction change the landscape? What kind of gravel is mined in Stolzenau? And with what technology? How do flora and fauna develop? The nature trail is designed in such a way that it can change, just like the landscape does, and moves along with the gravel extraction areas. Cyclists and walkers still have to make a loop and walk most of the way there and back. But if the gravel extraction areas change, a circular trail can also be created.

Findings along the trail indicate the right path at the junctions. There are nine information boards along the path and at some viewing platforms, a viewing tower or a gravel bed to feel and see. The compatibility of nature conservation and information is exemplary "Im Röden". The nature trail is a further step towards a local recreation and leisure area. The Winzlar Ecological Protection Station provided technical support for the work.
