Jüdischer Friedhof Achim

Historical cemetery
The Jewish cemetery in Achim was established in 1865 and used until 1935.
At least 61 burials of members of the Achim synagogue community took place here during this time. The cemetery was desecrated during the Kristallnacht and even after the end of the war. With funds from the federal government and the state association of Jewish communities in Lower Saxony, the site was restored between 1954 and 57. The cemetery is not accessible to individual visitors, but groups can take a guided tour with a tour guide on request.
