Altstadt Hoya/Weser

Historical city centre
First mentioned in 1150, once the residence of the Counts of Hoya.
The town of Hoya lies to the left and right of the Weser. On the eastern side of the Weser is the former castle of the Counts of Hoya. There is also today's Martinskirche cultural center, beautiful half-timbered buildings in the fishermen's quarter, the von Behr manor house and the Bürgerpark. The Stafforst'schen Gutshaus houses the Museum of the County of Hoya. The landing stage is in front of the town hall of the joint municipality of Grafschaft Hoya.

On the left bank of the Weser is the Weser promenade with restaurants, the dwarf fountain, the printing museum and the cinema. The weekly market with regional products also takes place here every week.

South of the old town, on the left bank of the Weser, is the motorhome parking area and the marina. Everything is within walking distance.
