At the time, Uchte was a Hessian enclave in the Kingdom of Hanover. From 1750, the building was used as a hunting lodge. In 1866, the county of Hoya fell to Prussia along with Hanover. A short time later, the estate was established as a head forester's office. Two forester families lived here until the early 1970s. The listed property has been privately owned since 1981.
