Half-timbered house
Historical building
Museum of local history and geography
Special wedding venue
Two-storey house built in traditional half-timbered style.
At the time of its construction, in 1803, the farm was one of eight Vollmeier farms with the farm or house number 2 in the independent village of Holtorf, which at that time belonged to the Wölpe district. In 1990, the town of Nienburg acquired the two-stall house, which had stood empty for many years and had fallen into disrepair.

The farmhouse has been restored with great attention to detail, especially the fireplace at the end of the hallway, in the flett. Behind this are the former living rooms, which are available for a variety of uses, e.g. the former living room can now be used for a small civil wedding.

"Vogelers Haus" is the cultural center of Holtorf, which is still a village. Under the direction of the local heritage association, many working groups and interest groups meet in the rustic but comfortably furnished barn to cultivate togetherness, village customs and the Low German language. Furthermore, Vogeler's house offers the opportunity to get married in a civil ceremony. The rooms are then festively decorated (information: Nienburg registry office, tel. 05021-87228).
