At the stork care station on the outskirts of Verden, sick, injured storks or storks in need of care are nursed back to health and released back into the wild;

The station consists of an outdoor enclosure with a stable building and shelters. There is a visitor center in the stable building. The fence is fox and marten-proof. Guided tours can be arranged with the station management.
