Naturschutzgebiet „Hühnermoor“

Part of this is the "Wacholderheide bei Ramelsen" nature reserve to the west, which was declared a nature reserve as early as 1930.
 
The old heath and juniper areas were created centuries ago by grazing sheep, goats and cattle.
 
The north of the area is characterized by dry surfaces, the east by grassland and arable land and in the Hühnermoor there are swamp and moor areas.
