Lasseburg

Archaeological site
Only an information board on the outskirts of Landesbergen refers to the former Lasseburg castle.

Foundations, roof tiles etc. were found during the construction of the lock and the straightening of the Weser. They point to the location of the Lasseburg castle. It once stood on a sandy hill between the courses of the Weser. By order of the Counts of Hoya and the Bishop of Minden, the castle was probably destroyed as early as 1310.
