At the beginning of the 20th century, potash mining shaped the urban and economic development of Hülsen and several towns in the Aller-Leine valley. In this information center, the exhibition and description of objects, tools, salt cores and miners' clothing from this period, as well as pictures, plans and graphics, commemorate this period of economic prosperity and give an impression of life during this time.
The Kulturförderkreis Hülsen also offers guided tours of the remaining evidence from the history of potash mining.
The Kalistube is open during public events organized by the Kulturförderkreis Hülsen in the historic Schafstallviertel. Opening dates and guided tours can be arranged with the association.
