Behlmer Hochzeitsmühle

The free-standing, two-storey gallery Dutch windmill with wind rose dating from 1876 can be seen from afar. After more than 90 years of mill operation, this was discontinued in 1968 and the three grinding gears were removed. The octagonal mill was completely renovated in 1988/89 and fitted with an operational grinding gear in 1991. Inside, a loom and various agricultural tools are on display. Since 1993, "mill weddings" have been offered in the Behlmer Mühle. Following the wedding ceremony, you can toast with up to 30 guests (Bruchhausen-Vilsen registry office, tel. 04252-391225).
