Directions

The starting and finishing point is the Steyerberg market square. Right at the beginning you pass the historic center of Steyerberg with Jacobiinseln, Auebrücke, Amtshof and Meyersiek'scher Mahl- und Sägemühle (opening times: May-Oct. every 3rd Sunday of the month 2-6 pm). Passing the ecological model settlement "Lebensgarten", you reach the Januarsberg through an extensive wooded area, where the observation tower is worth a short detour. The tour continues into the Eichenkratt nature reserve with its bizarrely grown trees. From Deblinghausen, you reach Düdinghausen and Sarninghausen via the Große Aue. On the way back to Steyerberg, you can climb the "Witches' Staircase" to the Knappsberg viewpoint.
