The Ulan Monument in Verden features a bronze equestrian statue in front of the historic church in Verden.

A statue of a horseman on a pedestal in front of a historic building honors the fallen soldiers of the Uhlan Regiment in Verden.

The equestrian statue on the monument depicts an Ulan in uniform, surrounded by bare winter trees.

The names of 116 fallen soldiers are listed on the 1928 memorial.

 It was built by the Second Hanoverian Uhlan Regiment No. 14. This was stationed in the Verden Holzmarkt barracks from 1873-1886. "Uhlans" are a type of cavalry armed with lances.
