description: "Rhinos have inhabited our planet for over 50 million years. They became extinct in Europe around 100,000 years ago - and yet one of these huge behemoths is hiding in the municipality of Warpe. The sculpture of the rhinoceros blends into the idyllic landscape with its life-size form, yet its material and color create a great contrast to nature. Just like nature, the rhinoceros can be experienced, encouraging young and old to touch the meter-high back, the mighty legs and the impressive rhinoceroses that gave this extraordinary inhabitant of the earth its name."

Rhinos have inhabited our planet for over 50 million years. They became extinct in Europe around 100,000 years ago - and yet one of these huge behemoths is hiding in the municipality of Warpe. The sculpture of the rhinoceros blends into the idyllic landscape with its life-size form, yet its material and color create a great contrast to nature. Just like nature, the rhinoceros can be experienced, encouraging young and old to touch the meter-high back, the mighty legs and the impressive rhinoceroses that gave this extraordinary inhabitant of the earth its name.
