Mühlenruine Rehburg
===================

- Windmill

The ruins of an old mill, surrounded by nature, with moss-covered stones and an open arched passageway.

An old stone wall of a mill ruin surrounded by trees; a relief featuring a coat of arms above the arched entrance.

Crumbling masonry of the Rehburg mill ruins, surrounded by lush greenery and tall trees.

Situated on the hill of the Mühlenberg, the Rehburg windmill was a landmark visible from afar.

 On July 1, 1905, the mill was struck by lightning, which reduced the shingled wooden structure and the surrounding gallery to ashes. A national emblem can be seen in the keystone of the archway: "G.R.III, 1821". The initials refer to "Georg Rex III", the King of Hanover at the time. Today, only the mighty octagonal stone base bears witness to the once beautiful building.
