Kohlelore in Münchehagen

An old coal car loaded with coal in front of a hedge and signs from the Münchehagen Miners' Association.

Coal was mined in Münchehagen until 1924.

 Most of the miners came from Münchehagen. Up to 450 miners are said to have worked in three shifts at times, which is commemorated by the "Glück Auf Münchehagen" miners' club lorry.
