The Bürgerpark was created in 1883 on the initiative of lawyer Lois Müller. The 7.2 hectare park with its green spaces and seating areas invites you to relax. 

 It gradually took on its present form from 1928. The memorial to the homeland in the former German eastern territories dates from 1955. Today, around 9.7 kilometers of paths run through the Bürgerpark. The areas consist of approx. 2.5 hectares of woodland, approx. 2.2 hectares of lawn and approx. 1.5 hectares of shrubland.
